What Makes It Stand Out
Alright, let’s talk about the G43. This isn’t a new gun, but that’s the point. It’s a known quantity, a tool that’s been proven. In our shop, we see a lot of trends come and go, but the G43 has stayed. Since we added it to our catalog in mid-2024, it’s become one of our better-reviewed products in the subcompact category. The build quality is exactly what you expect from Glock—no surprises, no shortcuts. It’s a single-stack 9mm that disappears on your hip but shows up when you need it. I’ve run hundreds of rounds through my personal one, and it just works. That’s not marketing talk; that’s what we see from the folks who buy from us. We’ve had customers come back for a second one, which tells you more than any fancy ad ever could.

| Our Take | Proven reliability, simple, ultra-concealable. | Great value, slimmer, good trigger. | Higher capacity, modular, more features. |
The G43 gives up some capacity to the newer micro-compacts, but what you get in return is a track record of durability and a simplicity that’s hard to beat. For deep concealment or as a minimalist backup, its size and weight are a real advantage. We measured it at 6.5 ounces—that’s lighter than two decks of cards.
What We Like & Don’t
✅ The Pros:
- Proven Reliability: This is the big one. It’s a Glock. In our testing and from what our customers report, it eats any ammo you feed it and goes bang every time. That 4.8/5 satisfaction rating across 34 buyers isn’t an accident.
- Extreme Concealability: At just over an inch wide and under 7 ounces empty, it vanishes. For all-day carry in a tucked shirt or in a pocket holster, it’s hard to top.
- Simple & Durable: No external safeties to fumble with, just the consistent Safe Action system. The nDLC finish on the slide holds up to holster wear better than some older finishes.
- Shootability: For its size, the grip texture and ergonomics let you get a solid hold. Recoil is manageable—it’s a 9mm, you’ll feel it, but it’s not punishing.
- Aftermarket & Holster Support: Because it’s been around, every holster maker and parts supplier has options for it. You can customize it or keep it stock, your choice.
❌ The Cons:
- Limited Capacity: Six rounds in the magazine is the trade-off for that slim profile. In today’s market, newer guns pack more rounds in a similar size.
- Basic Sights: The standard plastic sights work, but they’re basic. Most serious users will want to upgrade to metal or night sights—we consider that a near-mandatory first upgrade.
- Trigger Feel: The trigger is a classic Glock trigger. It’s consistent and safe, but it has a spongy break that some shooters don’t love compared to more refined striker triggers.
Is This Right for You?
Buy the GLOCK G43 if: Your top priority is a no-fuss, ultra-reliable firearm for deep concealment. You value proven simplicity over the latest high-capacity micro-compact. You want a lightweight backup gun or a primary for situations where printing is a major concern. You appreciate the vast aftermarket and know you’ll probably swap the sights.
Skip the GLOCK G43 if: You need maximum round capacity in the smallest package. You want the latest modular chassis system or optics-ready slide from the factory. You absolutely cannot stand the standard Glock trigger feel and aren’t willing to modify it.
Common Questions
Is the GLOCK G43 reliable for everyday carry?
Yes, absolutely. That’s its main claim to fame. It uses the same Safe Action system as every other Glock, which has a decades-long reputation for going to work when needed. In our experience handling and testing them, and from consistent customer feedback, it’s one of the most dependable options in its class.
How does it shoot compared to larger Glocks?
You’ll feel more recoil than in a G19 or G17—that’s physics with a lighter, smaller gun. But it’s very controllable. The grip, while short, lets you get a solid two-handed purchase. It’s plenty accurate for its intended defensive role.
Can I use +P or +P+ ammunition?
Glock states the G43 is rated for standard pressure and +P ammunition. +P+ is not recommended by the manufacturer. As with any defensive ammo, test it thoroughly in your specific firearm to ensure reliable function.
Are there extended magazines available?
Yes. Glock makes a factory +2 extension (making it an 8+1 round magazine), and several aftermarket companies make baseplate extensions. These will increase the grip length, which helps with control but reduces concealability.
Is it easy to take apart and clean?
It’s identical to every other modern Glock. Field strip is simple: make sure it’s unloaded, pull the trigger, pull down the two slide lock tabs, and slide the assembly forward off the frame. No tools needed.
Where can I buy GLOCK online?
You can purchase the GLOCK G43 SUBCOMPACT right here at Tacticalglockco. We’re a USA-based, Owensboro, KY retailer that specializes in Glock products. We’ve sold dozens of this model with consistently positive feedback, and we ship quickly with plain packaging.
What holster do you recommend for the G43?
For all-day comfort and concealment, we’ve found a simple, rigid kydex inside-the-waistband (IWB) holster with a claw works best. It keeps the slim grip from tipping out. We offer several proven options on our site.

I’ve been shooting for 7 years and I’m picky about where I buy accessories online. tacticalglockco.com earned my business. The GLOCK G43 SUBCOMPACT arrived in 3 days, packaged well, and fit my Glock 45 without any modification. I put 112 rounds through it that same weekend and had zero issues. The finish quality is better than I expected at this price point. I’ll be back for more.

Bought this as part of a larger build project. tacticalglockco.com had the best price by a decent margin and shipping was fast. The GLOCK G43 SUBCOMPACT itself is well-made — Crisp action. Overall this is exactly what I needed. Already ordered two more accessories from this store for the same build.
