Description
The Selector Switch for Glock in Gold is a functional upgrade for shooters who want to add a distinctive, high-visibility control to their pistol. It replaces the standard slide stop lever, providing a larger, easier-to-manipulate surface for one-handed slide manipulation. Since we started stocking this in summer 2025, it’s become a consistent favorite, with repeat customers frequently coming back for another. It’s for the shooter who values both performance and a standout aesthetic.
What Makes It Stand Out
- Enhanced Gold PVD Coating: This isn’t just for looks. Our staff notes the coating is tougher than it appears, having held up through multiple cleaning cycles with solvents like Hoppes without dulling or degrading.
- Extended Leverage: The design provides a longer, more pronounced paddle than the OEM part, making it significantly easier to drop the slide, especially with gloves on or under stress.
- Precision Machined Fit: CNC-machined from billet steel for a precise drop-in fit on compatible Glock models. No gunsmithing required for installation.
- High-Visibility Function: The gold finish offers a clear visual reference for the control’s position, aiding in training and low-light manipulation.
- Positive Engagement: Maintains reliable lock-back on an empty magazine and provides a solid, tactile feel when releasing the slide.

Common Questions
Which Glock models is this compatible with?
This selector switch is designed as a drop-in part for most Glock Gen 3, Gen 4, and Gen 5 models chambered in 9mm, .40 S&W, and .357 SIG, including the 17, 19, 22, 23, 26, 27, 34, and 35. It is not compatible with slimline models (43, 48) or .45 ACP/10mm models.
Is the finish durable?
Yes. The Gold PVD coating is a hard, wear-resistant finish applied in a vacuum chamber. It bonds at a molecular level and is highly resistant to corrosion, solvents, and wear. Our testing shows it withstands repeated cleanings with common gun solvents without issue.
How do I install it?
Installation requires field-stripping your Glock. Using a small punch or the tip of a cartridge, push out the slide stop pin from the right side of the frame. Remove the factory lever, insert the new gold selector switch, and re-insert the pin. The process takes about two minutes. Ensure the lever moves freely before firing.
